About
Josh has spent two decades finding water where it should not be. Behind stucco, under floors, above ceilings, in buildings that looked perfectly fine from the street. Over that time the same conversation kept repeating itself: a homeowner points at a patch on the wall and asks whether it is anything to worry about.
The honest answer was always that nobody could say without looking properly, and looking properly cost money. So people waited. Waiting is exactly what mold needs. AccuMold exists to remove that gap: the first question a certified inspector asks, answered on your own phone, in seconds, for nothing.
“Everyone should be able to get an honest answer about their own home. It should not cost anything to ask the question.” Josh Kent, Founder and Inventor
Credentials
The industry body for indoor air. Certification means the standards behind a mold assessment are somebody else’s, not ours.
Accredited, which means there is a public record of how complaints get handled, and somewhere to take one.
How the answer got cheap
An assessment meant booking someone, waiting days for a slot, and paying for it before you knew whether you had a problem at all. Most people looked at the patch and decided to wait.
One photo, answered in seconds, free and with no limit on how many. It is the same first question a certified inspector asks, asked by the app instead.
Low, Moderate or High, with the reasoning written out. Low means keep an eye on it. Moderate means dry it out and scan again in 48 hours. High means get it looked at.
Humidity and temperature watched over time, so the app can tell you a room is heading for trouble before there is anything to photograph.
